Women Painting Women, Selected Juried Exhibition 2013
In March of 2009 three female artists (Sadie Valeri, Alia El-Bermani and Diane Feissel) in the USA, established the online blog
‘Women Painting Women’. The purpose of this web resource was to highlight the work of female artists working in the figurative tradition using women as their subject
matter.
The website
http://womenpaintingwomen.blogspot.com/ has now featured in excess of 260 female painters from around the globe and continues to grow with the overwhelming support of those within the arts, creating
a wonderful platform for female artists to connect and share their work on an ever growing and sustainable platform.
Six of the participating artists in the UK exhibition at Glasgow’s Art Exposure Gallery have been featured on this blog since it’s inception. This exhibition runs
concurrently with a series of exhibitions being held across the world in various venues. It is a pleasure to represent the UK and be be apart of this movement, exhibiting alongside such a strong and
talented group of ladies, both in the UK, Europe and the US.
